THIS IS A STORY FOR LAST THURSDAY 050810

today's vision : lady on the road, searching for kwsp building to get the penyata akaun kwsp..heh!! all by myself ok...

i'm totally lost when it comes to "jln2 di ipoh"..fisya & abg izack will be the great guider & map expert for me to refer..hee..ade a few maps, they drew for me just to make sure i'll arrive safely to the destination..even kt ayer tawar pon..hahaha...the map : really detail ok!! kalah GPS..today, such an incredible moment cos i've got to go to ipoh all by myself without any helps...but then, i managed to organise my mind setting : which way should i go & etc..even ada jugak tersalah jln sane sini..hee..but finally, KWSP, here i am..so, i'm in a happy mode ;)

when i entered the entrance door of the building, i walked confidently to the information counter, asking for helps from the receptionist..what will you act when you've got this kind of feedback " maaf cik, hari ni tk boleh check penyata, sistem down (down ape?? down syndrome..gerammmmmnyee!!) cik dtg hari lain eh"...oh my gosh!! cant you do something to fix that kind of problem..i dtg jauh ok...nk menapak ke ipoh from seri iskandar tu, i rase better i gi kl jek trus..arrgghhh!! i pon genius sgt2...main redah jek kan..bukan nk call dulu ke..heee..i never thought there might be that kind of problem..heh!!

story of the day : successfully arrived in ipoh but cant got the penyata KWSP..huh!! pandai pandai..heh!!

on the way back to seri iskandar, while searching for the right roads in the busiest one way road in ipoh...heh!! (senang ckp, mmg pakai redah jek & try to remember which ways should i go..heh!!)...guess what??

dear diary : blew me away :: speed racer

since last week, while i was watching the tv...everyday at least once, there will be the trailer of "SPEED RACER"...oh dear...i need a CINEMAX right now..hee..even i have the dvd already but its not the same ok..hahahaa...this is the first movie i watched in UK with my dear aimy ;) this time jugak i dpt tau, pop corn dkt UK langsung tk sedap ok..heh!! tawar..heh!! therefore, we've got to grab for chachos with the cheese sauce (super delicious ok..heh!!)

...oh dear aimy...i miss u so damn much ok...confirm aimy merajuk gile dgn i...almost 3years tk jumpa kot..since we're back to malaysia for good...huhuhuhu..trust me aimy, i wont forget you...

because of him, most of semester 01 interior design students had been inspired to be part of interior design...tv program such as casa impian..deko bersama eric & etc...give the wrong perception for those youngster about the real world of interior design....it's all about AESTHETIC VALUES...while interior design is totally different from all those things...in interior design..YES..we do have the appreciation of the aesthetic values..BUT its gonna be the final touch up after the other importants design process had been done...it might takes about less that 10% of the whole design works...(i mean the decoration part)...

so what's exactly, the interior designer is dealing and doing????

INTERIOR DESIGNER??

Interior design is a profession in which creative and technical solutions are applied within a structure to achieve a built interior environment. Interior designers work with clients and other design professionals to develop design solutions that are safe, functional, attractive and meet the needs of the people using the space.

INTERIOR DESIGN : PROBLEM SOLVER. Mr David Hartwell, my lovely lecturer from DMU said that, INTERIOR DESIGNER is the CIA Agent...We've got to investigate any related issues with our surroundings which may give the huge impact in our design. Identify the clients' needs included people who might use the space..Do a research about any other issues : new technologies, new smart material, global issues : global warming, green design, etc. The most important part : create our own identity through design...avoid the copycat trademark that has been applied critically in interior design's world nowadays...

Interior designers must also understand the artistic and technical requirements of a project, interpersonal communication, and management strategies.

ARTISTIC and TECHNICAL REQUIREMENT

• 
  
  how to plan a space
• 
  
  how to present that plan visually
• 
  
  know about the materials and products that will be used to create and furnish the space, and how texture, colour, lighting and other factors combine and interact to make a space
• 
  
  understand the structural requirements of their plans, the health and safety issues, building codes, and many other technical aspects

INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION

  meeting and dealing with many kinds of people

see the differences ?? this is just an introduction...hee...i'm not explaining in detail about the design process that we need to go through to achieve the successful design works...

PEOPLE OUT THERE : all you have to do is to twist your mind setting about designer and decorator...

MY DEAR STUDENTS : you've still got time to change your focus and perception before it's too late...once your mind setting has already in the right track..then, you know the importance of being unique, creative & individual...no more "copycat"..no more "take it easy" attitude...no more "study smart"...work harder...that's the right word i guess...i dont believe in people who think they are "smart" to be successful...they take the easy ways to achieve their target without work hard for it..NO NO NO..i dont believe on that...you need to work hard...practice makes perfect...more focus...

it's a huge challenge for me to educate, guide, encourage all of my students to be a great designer some days..InsyaAllah with all the knowledge and skills that i have, i'll share everything with them.

dear diary : being an educator ;) 1st edition

i love my job...as far as i've been a lecturer, im feeling so lucky...let's share the story behind the greatest job ever (for me)...

starting from oct 2008, i've been tested by our KP to join the part 06 team (part 06 : final semester's students)...i took it as a challenge & it's a chance for me to show my capabilities to do this job excellently... 

PART 06 : Students have to work independently..all by themselves from A to Z..starting from the project proposal, site location, space planning, design scheme, drawing preparation, final presentation and etc...time management is VERY IMPORTANT..once you skip it, you'll be out of the right track...gotcha!! lecturer only can guide them, give advices, keep reminding them to wake up from dreaming, motivate them while they're depressed...etc...

critic session always non-stop...even the class is over, students will keep on searching for you to ask for your critics (as usual, not all of the students, the hardworking one will always react that way)...tido mlm pon, you will receive the sms asking for an appointment for tmrw...hahahha...i've been in PART 06 team for 3semesters...within that time, almost 3-4times, i'd been dreaming of their works...hahaaha...tk lena tido ok!! maybe i'm worried too much..heh!! yela, it's your responsibilities to make sure that they can successfully completed their works and get a diploma and have a bright future in interior design's world out there...

here's the critic session : the stressful faces obviously can be seen...heh!!

with Part 06, July'09, i've tested will some of the critical students..who dont prepare at all for their final project...either they're still blur or they still in a holiday mode..heh!! i'm not so sure..i assume it that ways..this one young girl, miss maznie really push me up to the limit (but dear, i'll always pray for you..hope you can get a good job)...before that time, sunway's batch : students acted differently...they managed to organise their works perfectly, even they're some of them "yg terhuyung hayang jugakla" in the middle of semester but after they've been brainwashed..alhamdulillah, they got back on track & finally presented their final works...but with maznie..mmg dugaan yg besa amat...but girl, u make me realise something, this is a challenge to be an educator...mmg challenging sungguh..i can still remember, first time i've been yelling and nagging to the whole class just because of their lazy and passive attitude...heh!! maznie buat i membebel till i penat..hahahahaha...mmg funny...but the truth is, i've trained to become more strict, more concern, more sensitive (even i am) with my students...

i hate to be mad, i prefer to be a cool person during my teaching lesson...unless if you make a trouble in my class..GOTCHA!! that's will turn me to the other way around...if u're not completed your works without any specific reason and the works showed how lazy were you...that will make me mad...

their final presentation...wrap up!!

when your the final presentation was over...lecturers busy key in marks, students busy packed their stuffs & get ready for the holiday...one thing for sure, you will feel relief...the best part is when all of the PART 06 students had been graduated, some of them had been working as a designer, some of they are furthering their studies...That's the moment when you realise that I REALLY LOVE MY JOB...when you've seen all of them have a great life out there..most touchful part, when they still keep in touch with me...spend some times to hang out with their lecturers and even come to uitm seri iskandar, visit their lecturers..mmg the best part ever ;)

alia kecik..come to my office..she's in uitm s.alam now, further her studies as an undergrade students : interior architecture..she's different now : more confident, talkative..love it!!

us..love frappucino, gossip, dessert..hee..that's my farahiyah (light blue scarf)..she declares me as her partner..heh!! my first student & the closed one..

Let's introduce our new family member

congratz to my sis, who will go one step further in her life..another family member who will be the "workaholic" person..heh!! The MINI S, is the reward for her hardworks & being the most genius child...the "bookworm" darl, innocent, dengar kate..hee..all in her..so she deserves it ;) (dina, i'm promoting you, ok!! heh!!)

her fav car is, the real MINI COOPER...she even has the miniature of MINI COOPERs (danish played with it till dh senget skit tayar die..hahahaha)...even paklang had done a survey from his friend for the car's price...RM200K+...oh my dear paklang!! i know u love luxurious car, but..haiya!! we definitely cant afford to have it not even the side mirror ok..hee!! 

the next alternative, MINI S is the right choice..the body quite similar to MINI C...the main character that we're looking for are : "pendek, lebar, mengayap"...no need to explain in detail..just keep it as a secret ok..only me, dina & mama know what were that mean..

with MINI C long time ago..heh!!..(i've realized she loves to pose like that..heh!!)..

sooner, this bluish MINI S will be transformed to be MINI C..very soon!!
